Rover 75 Tourer

£15,995

This Rover 75 Connoisseur SE Tourer V6 is a top-specification, 1 of 1 collector's example of the final flagship from Rover. Being a ex-factory demonstrator, it was fitted with every conceivable option - including some special order items - and is totally original, having completed just 9,000 miles from new. With it being purchased directly from the factory in July 2003 and only sold out of the family earlier this year, the car has a nice history file consisting of plenty of early correspondence, service invoices and MOTs, as well as all of the original books, brochures and pricelist.

As mentioned, the optional extras fitted to this car are extensive, with no box left unticked (full options list detailed below). This 75 is a true one-off vehicle, being the only Connoisseur SE Tourer finished in ‘Monogram Supertallic’ Celestial Blue. This very special exterior colour coupled with the ‘Personal Line’ Neptune Blue leather makes a stunning combination and the perfect fit for a factory demonstrator. The car was registered to the MG-Rover Press Garage on 6th Nov 2002 and was on their fleet for approximately 8 months, completing just over 3,000 miles before being sold to its first private owner in July 2003. The car was subsequently registered as ‘GEA 1’ and used sparingly, being garage kept, serviced regularly and MOT’d every year until 2012, at which point it had travelled a further 4,700 miles (520 miles per annum). The Rover was then placed in long-term dry storage until the owner’s passing in early 2021, where it re-emerged, reverted back to ‘BF52 FND’ and was recommissioned by The Car Works Ltd at 7,926 miles. It has been MOT’d every year since and travelled just 1,100 miles in the last 4 years, with its last service being carried out in Oct 2024. The only advisories the car has had on its MOTs have been in recent years for old tyres (as it is still retains the original OEM Dunlops, save for the NSF), and one advisory in 2022 for slightly corroded brake ferrules on the rear - these were swiftly cleaned up and it was found to be nothing more than surface corrosion.

Today, the car displays just over 9,000 miles with 3 previous keepers, having been registered to the original owner’s daughter and then bought by our customer earlier this year. As suggested by the mileage, the condition of the car is near-immaculate; the exterior looks to retain its original paint in its entirety and is difficult to fault - with only a few stone chips accrued on the front bumper over its 23-year life - and no scratches or dents to be found. The interior is similarly excellent, we cannot find any signs of wear to the leather, carpets, switches, headlining or wood; the car also retains all of its original features and accessories, each one working as they should, including the rare Satellite Navigation. The engine bay and underside are very tidy and original, none of the bolts on the wings or bonnet have been touched and all of the components are in very good condition with only a few signs of surface corrosion. As expected, the car runs and drives as-new, with no unwanted noises, sensations or smoke. Overall, we believe it is one of the best examples in existence and one of very few with such a high specification; it is certainly one for a collection, or ready to enjoy as a nearly-new, retro, British estate car.
