This Fiat Nuova 500 F is a sought-after 'Otto Bulloni' example, which were in production for just 7 months during 1965. It was delivered new by A. Pezzali Fiat in Porto Mantovano, Italy and was purchased and used there by our customer for two-and-a-half years, before being driven over to the UK and registered here in early 2022. It has been maintained meticulously and enjoyed thoroughly by the same owner ever since. He now sadly has to part ways with the 500 in order to fund a long term project. It is a truly lovely, original example that has clearly always been cherished, and is ready to go for its new owner.
The 500 is finished in rare Beige Sabbia paint (583) with a Beige & White vinyl interior, both of which are in fantastic, unmolested condition. The bodywork looks to be completely rust-free without any signs of bubbles, patches or other dodgy repairs. The paint is of a good, period-looking finish with no dents or scratches, and the shutlines are even with no evidence of thick filler or other nastiness. The brightwork is in good condition too with no dents and only minor pitting in areas, the glass does have some scratches as you’d expect on an unrestored car, however it all looks to be original and still displays various tax and emissions stickers from its life in Italy.
The interior looks to be all original and therefore retains all of its early ‘Otto Bulloni’ features, never damaged, modified or updated over the years. The Beige & White two-tone vinyl was the only option for the Beige Sabbia exterior, so it’s nice to see it being retained here too. The metal dashboard, round speedometer and switchgear are all in great condition, as are the seats and door cards themselves with no cuts or major wear to be seen. The mileage currently reads just shy of 67,000km, which could well be from new judging by the condition of the car. Mechanically, the car is very strong with no unwanted noises from the suspension or drivetrain, the engine starts up very easily and without any smoke. The only modification we can see is the addition of an electric fuel pump to help prime the carburettor after longer periods of storage.
Amazingly, the car retains its original dealer-supplied bookpack with the original Italian logbook and service book showing the names of all of its owners and the details of its early services. Other than this and the various Italian tax and passes in the windows, the car comes with the NOVA paperwork and current V5. Since 2020, it has been solely maintained by its Formula 1 engineer owner who has ensured everything works exactly as it should. Overall, this is a rare, unmolested and highly-cherished example of the iconic Fiat 500 that’s ready to be used and enjoyed over the summer.
The car is based at our studio in Bicester, please contact Greg with any questions, or to arrange a viewing.
